Disclosure

The party and this app are separate by design.

Outpost is non-partisan civic infrastructure.Every tool in this app — the trackers, the library, the games, the curriculum, the organizing spaces — serves citizens of every political view equally. Outpost does not endorse, oppose, fund, or campaign for any party or any candidate, and no party’s material is published inside it.

We the People U.S.A. Partyis an independent political project of Outpost’s founder. It is organizationally separate from this app and from Outpost Civic Education NFP, the Illinois nonprofit that stewards Outpost’s civic-education work. Party material — its founding documents, platform, and ways to get involved — is published only on the party’s own website, which is separate from this one.

There is no address here, and there is no link

Two separate reasons, and both are worth stating plainly.

No link:this app deliberately does not send you there. Building a button that delivers Outpost’s users to a political project is traffic — and traffic is a thing of value. A 501(c)(3) is barred from providing things of value to a political effort, and we would rather be plainly on the right side of that line than argue about which side of it a single link falls on.

No address: the party site is not published at a public web address yet. This page used to print one anyway. That was wrong — a name that looks official and belongs to nobody is worse than no name at all, because whoever registers it next inherits every reader who was told to type it. When there is a real address, this page will say what it is, and it still will not be a link.

Plain facts, stated plainly

  • The party is a political organizing project. It is not yet a legally organized political party under Illinois or federal law.
  • It has no candidates, and no one at Outpost is currently a candidate for any public office. If that ever changes, this page will say so plainly.
  • Nothing in this app collects money, members, signatures, or support for the party. The app’s subscriptions buy app access only — never party membership, donor status, or political contribution.
  • Nothing in this app advertises, recommends, or promotes the party, and the party does not market this app. That is a standing rule, not a current mood.
  • Why the wall exists: federal law bars 501(c)(3) organizations from participating or intervening in any political campaign, and Outpost’s own promise to its users is neutrality. The wall is not a formality — it is the design.
